Volunteer

From greeters to assistance with special events, a variety of year-round and seasonal volunteer opportunities are detailed below.

Horticulture

Exercise your green thumb in the indoor tropical exhibition area, outdoor natural areas and gardens, or the historic Sinnissippi Rose Garden and Lagoon; work alongside our horticulture staff
to help maintain our beautiful gardens.

Docent / Tour Guide

Enjoy learning about the gardens and sharing your love of plants with others who visit NCG. Conduct group tours, engage visitors with interesting facts and history, riverfront art, and the plants that call NCG home.

Special Events / Exhibits Volunteer

Be part of our special events at the gardens! Volunteers assist in member events, family breakfast events, and special exhibits such as butterflies, and special traveling exhibits.

Education Support

Education volunteers assist NCG education and program staff in bringing the exciting world of plants, culture, and green technology to children, families, and adults. These volunteers may help with school field trips, camps, family activities, adult workshops, and exhibit interpretation.
